Dasain Festival: Country carousel A Ping is a Swing that the kids enjoy!

Soma Devi Dura; she is the last living person
who knows the Dura Language. Statue of our Hero Kaje Dura.
Krishna Charitra Little Dura Buddha (he may be an Avatar!)

I would like to go to a school! Who helps me? Traditional way to make rice flour for doughnuts!

Local classic grinding mill for any thing. (grinds seeds & coffee beans too!) My name is Pramisha. I want to go to school too! Please help me!

Our ancient History goes back to the Nepalese DARK AGES. Our language has almost vanished ,if it were not for our Elder woman Soma Devi Dura. Foreign ethnic language preservation organizations have given her a shelter in Kathmanu to study the Dura language. She may be our only chance to preserve our ancient history, May all the Gods in the Universe bless her! This photograph above is from the left overs of the fort of our long gone Kingdom. You can not find this in any of your fancy trekking guide books. Visit us! We need to be in the picture! The Dura people are vanishing fast by un-noticed assimilation! You can help us by telling our Tale. Visit us! Hurry! See you soon!

Our most sacred places: Turlungkot Ghadi

Sacred Gadabad Than with ancient pine tree Resting point for our visitors & porters: Lakuri Chautara

Panorama of Turlungkot & Karneswora village.

I can not resist to show you my most funny picture! A village dog meets with a mongoose in a corn field. Neither the dog nor the little hunter were able to ward of the other. The dog was swift in avoiding to be hurt and so was the mongoose. Pat-Situation...like in Nepalese politics, ha-ha !

The Middim Khola as seen from my parental home. The left forest corner is the northern entry to your Host: THE MNIDDIM KHOLA RESORT.
Visit us! It's very rewarding for sure. If anyone wishes to use me as a personal guide to the Dura Community...feel free to ask!
I am ready to show you my home!
Kind regards
Karna Bahadur Dura.
